  1. This is an optional field.  Enter the stamp catalog number  
  2. from your favorite stamp catalog.
  3. Enter any comments you would like to make about this stamp. 
  4. You can enter up to 1
  5.  characters of text.
  6. Enter the stamp's condition with the menu provided. The
  7. choices are:
  8.  Extremely Fine
  9. extremely fine condition
  10.  Very Fine
  11. very fine condition
  12.  Fine
  13. fine condition
  14.  Very Good
  15. very good condition
  16.  Good
  17. good condition
  18. Note that judging a stamp's condition can be anywhere betw- 
  19. een a science and a medieval art.  It's your stamp album
  20. so use the method your best at.
  21.  This report prints all stamps in your collection depending 
  22.  on the condition of the stamp.  Choose from the menu one
  23.  of the conditions of the stamps you want reported on.  For 
  24.  example, if you choose Extremely Fine, you will get a
  25.  report of all stamps that are Extremely Fine.  Press
  26.  <ESCAPE> to abort.
  27. Enter the stamp's issueing country.  I recommend if you use 
  28. abbreviations, use them all the time.  Do not mix abbrevia- 
  29. tions and regular country names.
  30. Food for thought:  Consistency is the key to simpilicity.
  31. Enter the date the stamp was acquired. Use the format
  32. MM/DD/YY; for example, to enter January 15, 1989, enter
  33. 1/15/89 or 01/15/89.
  34. Enter the date the stamp was added to your collection in the
  35. form MM/DD/YY; for example, say you bought a stamp on
  36. September 12,1989, this would be entered as 9/12/89.
  37. Welcome to the STAMP ALBUM!  This program organizes your stamp collection
  38. in an easy to use electronic database.  You may enter thousands of stamps
  39. and yet locate any stamp's data instantly.  Customized versions can be
  40. programmed for a fee.  Press <F1> anywhere in the program for help.  Please 
  41. read STAMP.DOC as it gives information on how to use the program.  This
  42. program was written for the beginner to advanced stamp collector who yearns 
  43. to better organize his/her stamp collection.  You don't have to know any
  44. programming or be a computer whiz with a PhD.  That is not who the program  
  45. was written for.  It is for the computer user in office or home that uses
  46. the computer as a tool.  Overall, I have tried to make a very complicated

  56. Choose the stamp's issue month from the menu.  Use the
  57. cursor keys to pick the month.  If you don't know the month 
  58. choose the 1st menu option '
  59. Enter the issue value in the country's denomination
  60. eg.  5 Deutchmarks
  61. Enter the issue value in dollars.
  62. This field is optional.
  63. Enter the year the stamp was issued.  This is usually loc-  
  64. ated on the stamp.
  65. Enter the stamp's market value.  This is what the stamp is  
  66. worth if you sold it.  Information on market value can be
  67. found in stamp catalogs and magazines.  Note:  this program 
  68. is designed for US dollars.
  69. Enter the quantity of stamps that you have.  
  70. STAMP COUNTRY LIST HELP
  71. The stamp country list is a "table" listing the stamp's country and other
  72. information for quick viewing.  Below is a list of keys you may use:
  73. to add a stamp to your collection (add a record)
  74. to delete a stamp from your collection (delete a record)
  75. Enter
  76. to change the information for that stamp (edit a record)
  77. to quit and return to DOS
  78. to print all stamps of one condition (eg. Extremely Fine)
  79. to print all your stamps on the printer (device=LPT1)
  80. to print your stamps of one country use the cursor keys to  
  81. place the highlite bar on the country you want to print
  82. Note: this is available only in the registered version
  83. to make a new password
  84. Cursor keys,PgUp,PgDn
  85. used to navigate in the list
  86. Ctrl PgUp,Ctrl PgDn
  87. go to beginning or end of list
  88. The COUNTRY LOCATOR allows you to type one or more letters of the country
  89. and the highlite bar in the stamp country list will position itself on the  
  90. country.  For example, if you wanted to go to Germany, type 'G' or "Ge",etc.
  91. You must have added the stamp previously to use this feature.  If the
  92. country is not in the list table then the country locator will go to the
  93. closest country alphabetically.  This feature is especially helpful when you
  94. have thousands of stamps in your collection and saves you from using the
  95. cursor and PgDn keys.
